The Spring of 2021

Finally!

We are out of the lockdown (in stages) but we can get together in small groups and knit outside again. YAY!!!

Here are some of the projects that were finished in the spring:

knit in Patagonia Organic Merino by Juniper Moon

Knit in a lovely soft worsted.

Knit in Rowan Kid Silk Haze and True Silk

knit in Zooey by Juniper Moon

by Kirsten-Michele, another test knit, worked in King Cole Cotton Finesse for the main colour and Rowan Pima Cotton for the stranded design.

knit in... something soft.

Do you keep your labels with the pattern or just toss them out as soon as you start knitting?

Vivienne's Intarsia Colour Block socks https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cube-socks-2

and a matching flower pot...

for mom, knit in Cotton Kings Twirls deluxe and some Mandarin Petit for contrast. A test knit for Julee https://www.ravelry.com/designers/julee-mackessy-2

This is how I knit now: I've trapped Macko and he's trapped me...

Vivienne finished her New Heatwave sweater https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/new-heatwave

Knit in 5 colours of Sirdar Baby Bamboo and then she painted a flowerpot to match...

a gorgeous test knit for Monsterknits, I used Mini Maiden by Hand Maiden that had been in my stash for ages!!!

knit in Berroco Sesame. Liz liked the design so much, she is working on another Marisol in Berroco Summer Sesame

a test knit foe Faye Kennington of UkeeKnits in Ucluelet, British Columbia,

knit in Diamond Luxury Pure Wool Superwash Heater for the body, solids and Berroco Millefiory for the stranded yoke and cuffs.

knit in Rowan Pure Silk; just gorgeous! Of course she has matching flowers!!!

Kim's Harry Potter socks that she got as a kit with the bag at the KW Fair in 2019

a test knit for Knitting for Breakfast, knit in Diamond's Cotton Delight Multi

If you aren't familiar with their patterns you need to check them out: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/sources/knitting-for-breakfast

Knit with two yarns held together, Summertime Light and Diamond Elation Devine, bought as a kit form the Muskoka Yarn Connection.

knit in Rowan Pure Silk

I have figured out how to stay cool and knit in the pool!!

All you need is a plastic tub and no-one else in the pool...

Waves are NOT good ;)

Until next time

I hope you've enjoyed reading this blog, are enjoying this beautiful summer weather we're having and are staying cool!

Keep those needles and hooks moving!

Happy and Productive knitting

Gabriela
